#FollowFriday - @riznphnx: Writer, Podiobook Author, and Siren of Second Life
This week's featured Twitterer (Tweeter? Twitter? whatever...) was a Finalist in the Best New Speculative Fiction Podcaster category for the 2010 Parsec Awards. She is a mother of three loyal minions, an author, and a Jazz singer on Second Life. @riznphnx, aka Starla Hutchton, also published her first novel, The Dreamer's Thread, this summer and is talking about writing a second book. For more information on her book or her podcast, check out her website, http://www.thedreamersthreadnovel.com/. For more information on her, follow her on Twitter, and don't be a creepy, stalky type person. Really.
So what will you see on Twitter? @riznphnx has quite a range, and I'm not just talking music, here. She can go from dry snarky wit to schoolgirl enthusiasm in a flash, and still hit maternal warmth, genuine caring, and quirky humor along the way. If you follow her now, you'll probably see a lot of material about NaNoWriMo. She's a three year NaNoWriMo veteran and she's gearing up for another run at it this year. Aside from that, you'll probably see comments on motherhood, geeky interests, her quest to become a graphic designer, and the odd bit of healthy banter. And who couldn't use some good banter?
Have a good Columbus Day weekend if you're in the States. And if you're not in the States, make up your own reason to celebrate! We will be back on Monday with the penultimate review with Bird House Rules. And I'm already lining up some special guest reviews for when this series is over. And let me know what you think about the polls on the site. Should they continue? Should I drop them for a while? What can I do to make them better? See you next week!
